~Frame That Wall~

This is such an easy decorating trick!
All you really need is one stick of trim board.
First, measure out how big you would like the frame on the wall. Then, paint your stick of trim! Cut the trim board (miter edges) and nail it up!
Another easy peasy project!
On this wall, which is in my foyer, I did take a polka dot stencil to the wall before my husband added the trim.
Just think..... This would look so beautiful in a dark color, with all mirrors!
I might have to do that sometime!

*Broken Mirror Dresser* Tutorial tiling Mirror...

Just another project, I am always thinking of something, so tag along with me! Now, this one....my husband told me I was crazy! haha He said the mirrors would never stay stuck! Well, they did and I love it. The pictures are not too great. Everything was so shiny and blingy. And, as usual, I did this right before I started blogging so some of the pictures were improvised. I have had this dresser since my oldest son was a year old, he is now 26! Needless to say, it had seen its day and I was about to ditch it. It was just an old, dark brown wooden dresser, but then I had an idea....
First I sanded the heck out of it. Then we added trim around each drawer. Did I say we? Oh, I meant my husband added the trim, he he. The mirrors were too rough around the edges and I needed something to hold the grout in.

Then, I painted it white and distressed it.

Next, I purchased one of those full length wall mirrors. I actually bought the one I broke from Lowes for $7- it was just a cheap white plastic. I wrapped that in an old blanket and hammered away!

Next, glue on each piece with "mastic" glue. It comes in a tube that looks like caulk. After it dries overnight, mix grout and apply.

Next, I took old earrings and snipped off the backs. I purchased new knobs at Lowes for 97 cents each! The gold one is not one of the actual knobs, it is just for show. I pulled out the handy dandy E6000 and glued them on!

And this is how it turned out.....

I think I need a new mirror to go over the top of it... I am just not sure what kind! Any ideas?

What a Gorgeous Bathroom.....

I just had to show you this bathroom... No, it is not mine, but I sure can dream about it! Ha ha, that sounds so funny...dreaming about a bathroom? Oh well, you know me! It is from a local antique shop here in town. They had moved into a new building, the owner is so creative! She had this old "french" print and got the idea to have a million copies of it made! She wallpapered the entire bathroom!
Each copy is pretty large, around 16" x 20". I just can't tell you how wonderful it looks!
You would think, it might be overkill, but it really looks Nice! There is a border going around the top of the room, with word sayings and crown molding above that. Well, I think you get the idea...
I hope this is as inspiring for you as it was for me! I wanted to march right home and do it!
There was only one problem... I would have to sand all the walls from floor to ceiling to get them nice and smooth. Well, it still isn't done, but maybe someday?? I will add it to my 5 year list of projects, that I am staying on top of!

My BeJeweled Marie Antoinette Cabinet

Oh my little Marie Antoinette cabinet, or at least that is what I call it....
I picked up this darling little curio cabinet at a second hand shop. I sure wish I had the before picture, but you know.... that was before I became a blogger! ugh
It was all white. I just added pink paint, a little distress, lots of vintage cluster earrings and a few rhinestone pins,
easy peasy!
I just love it!
