Collecting Meissen....

I think "Meissen" is just beautiful! It was first made in Germany in about 1710 and is still made today. All pieces are marked with a "crossed swords" I could only wish that these were my pieces! I hope you enjoy looking as much as I did!

I enjoyed visiting you and seeing the lovely pieces you have featured. My 91 year old mom has one of the candelabras you have shown....if not like it, it is close. She bought it on a trip to Canada over 55 years ago. I adore the piece and particularly since it belongs to my mom and I remember it in our home while growing up.

I think that Meissen makes
one of the finest porcelain in the world. It can only be compared with Nymphenburg, Royal Copenhagen, Augarten, Herend and Ludwigsburg. Your present us a wonderful collection of pieces we all just dream to have!
Greetings from Europe!

The two candlelabra are almost identical to a pair that my 91 year old mom owns. She purchased them when I was a little girl and I cannot recall when they were not on her dining table. I just love them and never cease to be enchanted by them!
