Pink Jane Austen Buffet table...

I am getting to where I just LOVE Pink!

Here it is before in black. I really liked the black, it seemed to get even better
the more I sanded it. But, I had just put it in my kitchen and was ready for a change!
Something brighter.

After sanding and painting it pink. I taped off the sides and did a lace treatment on the top. You just lay the lace on top and start spray painting! Very easy. One of my favorite blogs is Villabarnes, this is where I learned about this technique.

And, this is how it looked after....

I mod podged a few of my favorite diecuts and old advertisements to each side.

Then came Ms Jane....
Her picture went in a little frame I have had for awhile, with a nice vintage rhinestone pin added to the top. Screwed it on for the final touch.

Well, it came out pretty funky...But, it makes me smile, so I will keep it till the next "time for a change"!

Oh this is so fun! And as a true Austenite myself, I have to respect anything that pays homage to our dear Jane. What a fun inspiration :) Have a great weekend!
